Women’s History Month is a celebration of women’s contributions to history, culture, and society. It has been observed in the month of March since 1987. This year’s theme, Providing Healing, Promoting Hope, speaks to the women who have used their talents, intelligence and aspirations to make our world a better place.
Celebrate Women’s History Month using picture books to introduce students to a diverse group of exceptional women. The provided lessons are interactive and cross-curricular. They can be used to teach the economic concepts of choice, human capital, opportunity cost, productive resources and wants.
Classroom-ready lessons and activities are provided for each picture book title.
